I find quite a bit of similarites to my native language. I wonder if Polish is a near relative of Serbian.

It's normal since both are Slavic languages.

Polish is probably most natural for native Serbian speakers, given that you don't know any other Slavic language.

Alright, I'm not talking about Slovenian, Bulgarian and Macedonian, but West and East Slavic languages. No, Russian and Ukrainian are not, perhaps when you read cyrillic script it might appear familiar but there are many false friends, much more than in Polish. Also, forming sentences in Polish is way more natural if you speak Serbian.

In Polish there is a lot of hissing voices ("šćakanje" and others). All west and east Slavic languages are more understandable to Serbs than Polish, let alone south Slavic ones.

Serbian sounds very simple language. I heard it was designed this way on purpose by this particular slav tribe when they separated. Was design not to attract anyone but to scare people way.
Once people heard this language they would know rapists murderers & savages are near so they would flee their homes and farms. And based on historical facts their plan worked. They have grabbed plenty of land but they’re stuck with a language no one likes and that sucks.
