Castizo of East Med

Interesting how brazilians are usually the ones who classify me as castizo (not just in this forum). I do believe I have a bit of amerindian in my phenotype, maybe in the nose and height.

Si para mí luces y lo más probable es que eres genticamente tmb, criollo la verdad y viéndote bien los ojos ya la verdad no pienso que tienes mezcla indigena que se pueda visualizar, yo diría que eres Litorid y ya.

Es normal que eso pase en familias latinas, en especial con nuestros viejos, ellos por lo normal se sienten como de su tierra y con sus implicaciones además que en general la gente tiene una vaga idea de lo que es lucir europeo, mestizo e indígena, nada más tienen los estereotipos. Yo tampoco soy muy alto, mido como 1'71-2 yo creo que en general los grupos raciales que crean a los venezolanos no son tan altos en promedio, pero eso en realidad no importa jajaja. Mi ancestria italiana al parecer viene de Roma, pero lo más probable es que debo de tener una parte Siciliana tmb.

Which is why I settle it around 8 to 12% amerindian. I really don't know how purely amerindid my maternal grandfather's mother was, but she was indigenous that's for sure.

I do know something about the frontal view of my nose isn't exactly typical in Europe (somehow nobody has commented on that). But some pure caucasoids do have similar types, althought most belong to completely different phenotypes.

These are very specific however, I do believe my nose to be a little bit amerindian-influenced. And ofc the height is definitely a throwback of indigenous descent or possibly spanish gracile mediterranid, since my paternal family are much taller in comparison.

i don't see amerindian influence tbh. you look %100 caucasoid imo and east med + dinarid/armenoid or asyrroid (orientalid + taurid (dinarid/armenoid). probably east med + dinarid (as far as i know dinaro-med's very common in italy) but maybe asyrroid (maybe the reason of levantine looking) because you're half sicilian.

I surely am not that far away from dinarid influence because that's my father's predominant phenotype. Don't know about Assyroid though, since that's not really common in Sicily. I do know that dinarid and armenoid features are often similar however.
