It is also a huge stereotype, loudmouthed people, mafioso types, maybe her family had those types. My mom in NYC lived around many Italians, b/c at the time the Portuguese and Italians were considered pretty similar. Big families, a lot of emphasis on big dinners, very community-like people, both were very loud, spoke in a similar way... ya da ya da, but most of these were fully ethnic italians and Portuguese, not really mixes.
I agree. But her name is italian. I saw her on ethnicelebs and her name is italian, she is some form of a celeb.

Looks South Italian to me, but then again my recent conception of what a south italian looks like is from watching the tv show Gomorra.

Anyway average Sicilians absolutely don't look like this.

But they look like this, Roberto Crivello:

Of course in Sicily there are MENA looking people, especially because of the Carthage empire and Arab invasions.

I don't think Crivello is that common to be honest and all the Sicilian football players who play in serie A at the moment look pretty different from eachother:

Also most of the Moors were expelled from Sicily during the Kingdom of Sicily

All in all, no, he is not gypsy or mixed necessarily.

There is as least a 5-10% of southern italians with that look, and an equal percentage in southeast Greek islands, Eastern Crete and Southern portugal. In Cyprus 25-50% of People would look like that

There are people in southern Europe with that exotic look, all you need is to visit it
