Celebs reflect the preferences very well, imo. Some people prefer light pigmented people, some prefer dark pigmented people. Theres no general population bias. You can see a blonde pale skin girl with a heavily tanned, bearded, early hominid looking man. Myself as a fair skinned and green eyed person had my one of the longest relationship with a medium-brown skinned brown eyed black haired girl. (I also had real black gf)

So you wouldn't say that colourism exists in Turkey in quite the same way as in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Israel, Lebanon, Iran, Pakistan, India etc then? (They are all very different countries, of course, but the basic dynamic of 'lighter is better' is broadly similar).

Would be more interesting if they asked the same thing for the more turkish looking person (the interviewer)

I think it should exist. Blue-eyed, blond people, should marry people with at least have the same background in terms of pigmentation. Otherwise, there will be no blonds left in Turkey soon. Let's not forget that light features are carried with recessive genes.

not only marrying with russians Morti, I can easily foresee many Turks stop marrying middle-easterns and immagrants as this is a natural reaction towards migration policy which is not supported by Turkish people in general. They are being more introvert now and some racism is already in question especially among generation Z so this will also have consequences
true but as I wrote many Turks are being more and more protective and reactive against immigrants. So unless this retard policy is reversed, in 50 years immigrants and their supporters will be mostly isolated so there will be two types of people in Turkey: Turks and immigrants living totally in different regions
