The absolute majority of the Hungarian historians are objective, because they work in correspondence in the European community with their Slovakian, Croatian, German, Polish and other collegues. The Romanians are partially not part of this community, because nobody supports the baseless Daco-Romanian theory in Europe, but this concerns the dacoromanist nationalists only between the Romanian scientists. For example the tenth century's researchers of the Romanian archaeology share the European knowledge about the 10th century European culture and about the Magyars' participation in this. Because this is what they well know from the excavations for example.

Anything other is your nationalist ignorance only. Stears is a lunatic in Hungary (or would be in Germany, Slovakia or Poland) with his baseless and irrational narratives, but a Romanian Stears would be a mainstream dacoromanits in Romania. This is the difference between Europe and Romania.

Why is Stears' narrative baseless and irrational? Because he says hungarian people look european?

Mathias was maghiarized and he was just half romanian. Iancu de Hunedoara was romanian and Vlad Dracula ofcs he was romanian. Or, there's are hungarians who disafirm even this?

János Hunyadi was half romanian , Corvinus was 1/4 romanian. Even the father of J. Hunyadi was catholic, (Knight of Sigismund) which is a proof that he grew up in Hungarian culture.

Some people here mentioned historical conflicts of their nation with Hungary.
But for me, the conflicts of our greatgrandfathers (or even older ones) are over, and I am glad that I live in the time when our country has not
any serious conflict with the neighbours.
To know negative sides of Hungarians (and to know positive ones, better), will be necessery to visit Hungary for longer time.

But I like Hungary, it is a beautiful country!

I like Hungary, it's a country which had one of the greatest empires throughout European history, so obviously I think fondly of it. Not to mention the countries of my heritage sided with Hungary during WWI so I can consider them my allies.

I also ate at McDonalds for the first time in my life in Budapest, a few years after the war broke out in Kosovo, so I guess I can blame Hungary if I turn into an obese Americanofile .

Personally I do not have much experience with Hungarians, I did have a Hungarian friend who was a model, she was crazy though because she abused drugs such as speed and coke at the age of only 17. However the Hungarian members I've met here are mostly nice people though, I like them.
