ENGLISH NATIONALISM.

What is English nationalism? Well it's not real. It's imaginary. It's
made up. It's a delusion existing only in the heads of those who need
that delusion to feel secure.

There simply is no England or Englishness. There is no big happy English family.
There is no united England and there never will be, not under a nationalist banner anyway.

But why, if it's all nonsense, is it so popular? Why are there so many
people desperately proud of their national delusion?

Well these are the oppressed masses. They are denied control over their own
lives so they are alienated from themselves and from society. They
cannot comprehend the material world because they have no connection
with it and have been denied the means to take hold of it.

The working classes are simply lost and looking for something, anything,
that they can call their own. And the sad part of all this is that
their rulers know just what to give them.

The ruling class provide their wage slaves with a national identity
because it dilutes CLASS CONSCIOUSNESS. The billionaires who
own and control everything manage to make their impoverished subjects loyal via
patriotic bullshit.

The ideas of the ruling class become the ideas of the working class, despite the FACT
that those workers have the OPPOSITE material interests to their rulers.

It's a bit like being attacked in the street by a man with a big stick
and actually helping him beat you up by punching yourself in the face. MADNESS!!

And yet it's rife in this land. There are millions of people right now
smacking themselves in the face, metaphorically speaking, because
they've been encouraged to do so and they think it's for the best.

And yet it most definitely is NOT for the best. Because the more loyal we
are to our rulers the stronger they become and the better equipped they
are to ROB US!!!

It's beneficial to workers to NOT be nationalist. They need to look to their CLASS
and not their nationality for strength. Nationalism plays straight into the hands
of the ruling class and WEAKENS workers' power, thus ensuring wages
are kept low as the bosses rule with little resistance.

CLASS unity, however, balances out the power ratio and gives workers the means
to demand a higher share of the profits created by their labour.

Oh yes, that's correct, nationalism will get you shitty wages.

But class unity, or workers' solidarity as it's more commonly known,
will INCREASE your standard of living.

Which, of course, is why your rulers encourage you to be nationalist. They
most certainly do NOT want to pay you better wages and would rather
take home the proceeds of your work themselves.

And they do.
