ginger jews?

Why do some jews have extremely light skin, red hair (usually curly of course), and blue eyes? Or is it just me.

I have never seen a blond jew before. But I have seen at least a dozen ginger ones, most of which I would not have guessed were jewish.

EDIT: Actually I know someone who is blond and I think maybe 1/2 jewish. Still that is only 1/2 and it could be less.

Some ashkenazi jews have very light skin, red or blond hair and light eyes, because they mixed with the original finn-ugrians and slavisiced finn-ugrians. And two latters commonly have this feature, f.e. the rufousity the most common in the British-isles And among the udmurts in the Ural in Russia. That is the reason.

After mixing with Europeans they only intermarried amongst other Jews in their own small communities so that recessive traits such as red hair get reinforced and more likely to be expressed.

This is not just a stereotype. From the very few Jewish women I know personally, 3 have red hair, very white skin and freckles. This is quite frequent among Ashkenazim Jews, who originate from the Sub-Caucasus and West of the Caspian Sea region.

100% Jewish from Israel.

As much as I love the third reich and hate filthy semites, I have to admit that herr hitler's view on the Jewish phenotype is dead wrong.

In truth, Light eyes and Brown/Red hair are rampant among Jews, both from Israel and the diaspora.
