Well.. it's the U.S government (or the U.S Armed Forces) that should issue a formal apology as the Major was acting under orders.

Even if it all happened 60 years ago America should apologise for it's criminal treatment of POW's and German citizens alike.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

As Ambrose and other historians have shown, the death rate of Germans in American POW camps was about 1% - about equal to the American death count in German POW camps.

We have no reason to apologize.

America has all the reason to apologise for those dying in the Rheinwiesenlager and for those civilians dying in the American sector due to forced malnutrition.

A policy paramount to genocide. But then again, you as a Jew (I don't think that many people here believe you're "Anglo") don't consider crimes committed against the Germans as a crime. But then again these were the Jewish plans for Germany.

Ambrose isn't credible IMO. He worshiped the ground Eisenhower walked on. He doesn't want his hero's legacy tainted in anyway.

Did you read the link? An extensive international investigation in Germany and the US concluded 750,000 Germans died in US controlled prison camps. For your 1% nonsense to be true, that would mean the US had imprisoned 75 million people.
