No Protestantism is quite similar to Catholicism especially Anglican and Lutheran, but the term has quite diverse groupings who have diverged greatly from mainstream Catholicism after all the Protestants wanted to prefect the Catholicism or to reform it. Protestantism then slowly become more liberal due to open thinking and eventually lead to secularization.
