Venezuela is 60 percent European on average, much more than Mexico, which is around 35 or 40 percent

Presumably the Guianas are less Euro than Mexico too? But I know what you mean. Anyway, in answer to the OP, I think Venezuela is more Triracial and less Mestizo when compared to Colombia due to the settlement patterns - nowhere in Venezuela saw such a high concentration of Blacks (or Griffes) as did Choco, Buenaventura and to an extent Cartagena de Indias.

I think the answer is pretty obvious:

This exactly. A much greater percentage of Venezuela is located along the coast of the Atlantic from whence slaves were brought. Colombia is split between Atlantic and Pacific and therefore closer to a country like Mexico in terms of demographics.

That doesn't fully explain the disparity though - after all, there are actually more pure/quasi-pure Blacks along Colombia's Pacific Coast than Caribbean Coast.

The French Guiana is 45% European, so is whiter than Mexico (35-40% average)

Omg, did you just mention Cartagena in the same sentence as Choco and Buenaventura? Not even close, Cartagena is not nearly as black.
