No, the Confederate monuments should come down. There ought to be no monument in a public square that causes somebody feel 2nd class in any way.
I long ago used to be very selfish about this issue, thinking the Confederacy rather "righteous." But something in a public square that makes somebody feel bad is kind of wrong-headed.

So it's not satire then...Even the biggest muh democracy dickriders these days have come to terms with the fact that you simply can't viably appease everyone with a mouth to bitch. Their solution? Basically "other" half the country in a fit of effeminate impulsivity and set us up for unending headaches to come. The rational solution(ours)? Simply ignore the whims of a bunch of historically illiterate retards. The funny thing is both those who put up statues and those who remove them are the same brand of fart-sniffing idiot, looking to make big boy statements that no one really cares to hear. For the better or worse, most normal, working people are too occupied in their own daily struggles to pay attention to whose name is on a statue.
