The original Bandera followers who fought for independent Ukraine died 80 years ago.


Modern followers of Bandera flipped Poles for Russians, live in independent Ukraine and fight for pretty much the opposite goal - fighting for lands that have nothing to do with Ukraine.

Maybe Ukrainian identity would never develop if PLC and later Habsburg Empire did not control westernmost east Slavic Lands.

This is true for Galicia but the rest of Ukraine not even had a distinct non/anti-russian identity up to the 20s of the last century if not up to the 90s. When people talk about "Ukraine" they lump very different regions together. Places like Odessa, Kharkov or Donbass never were fully "Ukrainian" and at least untill the war hardly anyone spoke Ukrainian there. These regions were very mixed and russian was always the lingua franca. Ukrainian nationalists banning now Russian language in Odessa is especially absurd because Odessa was the cultural centre of Russia for a long period. Outside Galicia the peasants spoke something similar to Ukrainian but the cities were dominated by Russians, Poles and Jews so banning Russian culture means destroying the entire urban cultural heritage of the last centuries in Ukraine (Jews and Poles were already massacred and killed long ago).

An important note, usually modern wannabe banderists who hate Russians are Ukrainians of central Ukraine and Russian renegades of Ukraine who have a crazy mix of imported bandersim (it was not done by western Ukrainians but by governments of Ukraine for decades) while real western Ukrainians may not love us but they have totally different mentality, Its not the janissar like hate, they're based on own ideology and lifestyle. Agressive "banderism" of modern Ukraine is popular between Ukrainians of central Ukraine and confused Russians whose parents were Soviet veggies without identity. It is usually a crazy mix of banderist symbols, neopaganism, Christianity, a total bullshit.

Western Ukrainians have the highest rates of those who avoid being conscripted, they literally consider Western lands to be their motherland, not the whole Ukraine.

They always forget to mention that it's a war of contract army (its tiny piece) against four waves of conscripts, while our soldiers are doing their natural job getting paid for it, their soldiers are yesterday farmers and tractor drivers who didn't hold a gun before, barely willing to go there.

Sure it is fake, except for Donbass mobilisation which was normally done by LDNR govt at the beginning of the war

No it was a real question.
I read the post of russian members here about ukrainians elit sending to deaths poor soldiers with consideration, lying about the number of deaths, refusing to take back the corpses to no aknowledge the losses and so on.
And this is exactly what I read since the begining of the war but the other way around. If you want I can provide a dozen of links in english and frenchs about it without losing a lot of time doing research.
