August 29 - AFU offensive operations in the southern direction began after consultations with the US military, who helped the AFU determine offensive scenarios that could lead to success

September 1 - Zelensky launched an offensive in the southern direction, contrary to the opinion of the military.

Ukrainian said directly at the start that there won't be any communication about the counter offensive and that the progress will be slow.

Ukrainian govt put full censorship on media regarding war and this counteroffensive. Only govt media may make any reports. All non govt reporters removed from frontlines. They're guite mad about leaked stuff of Nikolaev hospitals hosting more than 2000 injured soldiers. They're crazy about failed nuclear plant assault and hundreds of dead specials who were trained by UK. This "slow counteroffensive" turned into blood bath of thousands of dead and injured Ukrainian soldiers, just in three days.

There isn't much information. Apparently it will be similar to the Russian offensive in Dombas that was advancing at a turtle pace. Ukrainians must have 100 losses a day.

You point the fact that western medias don't really communicate information about the counter offensive.
I'am just saying ukrainian declare at the start that they won't talk about it. So it doesn't necessary mean the counter offensive fail.

Also it's very funny you talk about censorship. Russian governement even forbid to use the word "war" to describe the event...

I see a lot of asian/turk/racially ambigious russians but very few slavs among these prisonners
After having listened to a few of these interviews, muscovites and people from st petersburg are very rare
Can anyone explain why so few slavs are to be found fighting in Ukraine???

It depends on who signs contract, probably lots of them did. But I normally know enough average Russians who fight/fought there. I see no problem, provincials and minorities normally prefer contract in army more often than people from capitals. What do you mean by "few"? Do you have some stats or just bullshiting?

There are lots of examples when sons of influential people, governors of the regions died or got injured during this war. Military career became quite prestigious and respected again in last 10 years.

What he says is true. Why do you find it so hard to believe? I know why... because you're constantly being fed by anti-Russian propaganda that distorts everything about Russia. So many people from the West who visit Russia are amazed, because it is nothing like what they had been told and expected.

I've watched many videos about Russian soldiers in Ukraine, there is no shortage of Slavic Russians there. In fact most of them are ethnic Russians.
