This a good example of why you're clueless. As I said, the goal is to destroy the Ukrainian military. The objective was to sit back and wait for Ukrainians to come at you and hammer them with artillery while relying heavily on mercenaries for any close encounters. Taking Bakhmut was secondary to taking out as many Ukrainian soldiers as Zelensky would allow.

It's not that much stronger than more motivated and NATO-equipped Ukrainian army. Obviously everyone expected much more.

He shouldn't be able to use them without codes, then again I have no clue about failsafes of the Russian nuclear arsenal.

Wagner was useful indeed and lots of their officers and specialists will be useful to Russian army after Wagner's dissolution (lots of them are already thinking bout leaving after negative reaction of society and officials towards their tricks). I always repeated that Prigozhin is a cold-blooded reptile, that's a person with a need of personal expansion and his energy should be targeted in a proper way. I hope they will decide and he will spend rest of his life making wars on foreign shores somewhere in Africa.
