Portugal. IMO the cities and towns look much better than in Greece.
But so that no one gets pissed (or to piss off both nationalities equally), I will say that no one would think that Portugal and Greece have the same number of inhabitants, Greece is much more important than Portugal

As far as I know, Portugal doesn't have many of those little stupid weird kind of laws that ban simple things people like and such...

I don't need to be favouring Portugal to ask how the fuck did you come to that brilliant conclusion xd

    "much" lol

anyway, if I weren't Portuguese, I'd have a hard time choosing. Maybe Greece actually.

    I would probably chose Portugal.

Their cities are quite nicer than in Greece, it can't be compared IMO. Porto and Lisbon are stunning. I love Portuguese modesty and family oriented society, cultural Catholic traits are still very alive in this country. My friend who was in both Spain and Portugal said Portugal is greener on average and not that hot (yes, I'm aware Spain varies a lot, but it's average we are talking about). On the other hand, Greek coast and sea obviously beats Portugal. Mediterranean and Atlantic can't be compared and Greek Islands are incredible and very diverse among themselves. Very few countries can compete with Greece in this department.

But than, Portugal has Azores and Madeira which look absolutely stunning even if they are super far from the mainland.

Both nations have great food, maritime traditions and music.

I'd say Greece has more charisma and wow factor, also more exotic flair (Byzantine and Ottoman heritage), while Portugal has quiet romance and beauty. I like relative isolation of Portugal compared to rest of Europe, it seems like such a tranquil and ideal place to raise a family. Greece is also more prone to natural disasters like earthquakes and forest fires (I know Portugal had that too though, but Greece is more endangered on avg).

Portugal has great history but it was more influential in their colonial Empire in Americas and Africa while Greece shaped Europe (ancient Greece and Eastern Roman Empire) more than most other countries.

Since I have minor Greek heritage I am really intrigued by this amazing county and would love to visit it, but I feel I'd fit more naturally in Portugal. Catholicism matters to me and Portugal really has Catholic spirit, even if many people don't go to church.
Not to mention many amazing churches I would love to explore.

    Vote for Portugal.

I choose Greece for the great civilization that they had. But Portugal is cool too, the cities are probably nicer than Greek cities.

What exactly is it about? Ancient Greek history? Ok, but Portugal doesn't fall behind if we're talking about history. Just see how many people in the world speak Portuguese vs Greek.
    Is that it or what?
