Portugal has some of nicest stadiums in Europe though (IMHO)

I could say people were ignorant and I wouldn't be lying, and perhaps, like Stearsolina said, Greece has more charisma and wow factor, but neither that nor people's ignorance justifies that a country is more important than another. Just because people think and say something, doesn't mean that it is. But I don't even recall seeing anyone with that opinion to begin with (foreigners that have never been to Portugal, people on the internet in general, etc)

In many respects I think I would go with Greece.
I luv Med coastal and Island culture/scenery.

But from a practical point of view Portugal would perhaps make more sense.

Portugal is a better Greece in every aspect. Also for me Greece is not even an option.
