I like Ron Paul. But if he wins the earliest he could take office is officially january 2013 The bombing of Iran would happen well before he gets in office.

Ron Paul is the only sane and honest person running, and because of that, he doesn't have a chance.

Ron Paul's IHOP foreign policy creds on display again. We tried the olive branch during the Clinton Administration and while the reformist President Khatami was open to the idea it was stopped cold by the Supreme Leader, who said no negotiations with the Great Satan.

Fast forward fifteen years to 2011. The Supreme Leader is still in power and now Iran has a radical president to boot. What makes anyone think Paul's idea will work?

I'm not sure who "the terrorists" are, but I'm pretty sure they are a different group of people from the government of Iran.

I think you need a history lesson.

The US overthrew Iran's elected government in 1953 and installed a dictator. When that dictator was overthrown by the people in 1979, the US grants him protection and refuses to return him to stand trial in Iran, so Iranian students overrun the US embassy and take hostages and agree to exchange them for the Shah. A little over a year later, all the hostages are safely returned.

The US backs Saddam's invasion of Iran. Iran suffers one million casualties in that war and many soldiers and civilians were gassed by Saddam.

The US later shoots down an Iranian airliner killing all aboard. It was said to be an accident. Imagine if Iran had accidentally shot down an American airliner what the response would have been.

The US successfully had sanctions imposed on Iran, and Israel and the US have threatened to use military force if Iran doesn't stop enriching uranium, which Iran has every right to do.

The facts are clear, the US has done a million times more harm to Iran than the Iranians have done to America, or anyone else for that matter.

Iranians tended to look very warmly upon the Americans before the 1950's, since, unlike the British, the U.S minded it's own business.

De-escaltion is the best bet. I agree with Dr. Paul, here.
"Free, do you call yourself? Then I would hear your ruling thought, and not merely that you have escaped from a yoke. Are you one of those who had the right to escape from a yoke? Many a one has cast away his last worth when he has cast away his servitude. Free from what? What does that matter to Zarathustra! But your fiery eyes should tell me: free for what?" - Thus Spoke Zarathustra

I think you're in need of a prayer rug avatar. This is a load of BS even by the standards of this forum.
