I have a reverse version with "Babes in Toyland", a movie apparently shown on TV when I was a kid. It was shown in 1986, and it starred Drew Barrymore and Keanu Reeves, whose old name was Keanu Reed. I'm kidding about his name, of course. I'm not kidding about the movie, which obviously was produced by CERN in 2012.

This may be an obscure one, but Stephen King’s The Mist movie, I remember seeing that when I was younger and at the end when the vehicles drive through, it was strongly in my mind that the main character’s black neighbor was in the back with all the survivors looking down at the main character. I remember thinking it was crazy and the implications of such a storyline. I recently watched a clip of it, and the neighbor wasn’t even in that scene. I dislike the world more for him not appearing on it tbh.

Billy Idol at Vicar St. (Pic: Colm Kelly)

The swaggering, tall-haired rocker grew up in Bromley in London and adopted the persona of an English wide-boy early in his career.

But his mother is from Cork and he has always been proud of his heritage - donning a Cork City shirt when performing on Leeside last summer.

“It’s great to be in the Rebel County,” says Billy of his mother’s home town. Yes, his mammy – nee O’Sullivan – was originally from these parts. “I used to come to Cork when I was 9 years old to visit my cousins, the O’Sullivans, Coffeys, and Duggans. Well I’d like to thank you Cork for making my life so fucking fantastic.”

I would doubt that Billy's mother was Anglican.

His father Bill Broad, who passed away this summer aged 90, had been a handsome naval airman, mum Joan, a nurse, was a striking Irish colleen.

She's from Cork and an O'Sullivan.

There are quite a few articles mentioning his parents being devout Anglicans so it's possible she became Anglican. Irish Protestants are Church of Ireland so she could also be an Anglican in Ireland. There are Irish Protestants that are also fully Irish that changed religion in the past.

She was though, it was a bonding factor between him and Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon back when they were schoolmates. Forgot which book I read that in, might've been Rotten.

Now that I did believe I saw, rewatched it like 4 times even, now that ending becomes an excuse to enjoy Lisa Gerrard's singing.

Thank God or should I just say thank you. Was not about to go on a deepdive to prove I wasn't crazy.

For medical stuff too at least. They are funded by big pharma e.g. Pfizer then have temerity to have this page :

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Ph...iracy_theories

^no conflict of interest here but that is not the only thing it permeates just about anything medical and that URL is spin doctored to paint critical ideas of big pharma in the worst light.
