Who cares? Money is not everything, if you import people from the third world, you become a third world nation, its easy. Yepp now Belgien is rich, but we will see what will happens 20-30 years later. Few years ago i have read an economic analysis of Sweden and according to it, Sweden and Kazakhstan will be on same level in 2050.

I doubt there is any correlation with religious upbringing. There is also countries who are predominantly Catholic or Orthodox with some of the worst drug use death rates. The country that stands out the most however is the USA, which has more than twice as many as Canada, the second country in the world with the most deaths due to drug abuse.

I agree. It's just a sociological problem within a group that shunned television, but couldn't keep the internet out and is getting exposed to the ugliness of the wide world overnight. Too much at once. In their communities often more than 25% is younger than 20 of age too. A minor percentile of the cocaine snorters in the end.
I have known a person in management who quickly went downhill while going to the toilet for his cocaine shot in one of my former jobs. A very erratic guy who went over his limits and eventually broke.

You can't compare drug trade and use with other crimes like theft and worse. That doesn't make any sense. We're not doing that with alcohol either; some have tried but also that fails.
The repression causes more misery than drugs itself, if you think finding it wrong is enough to cause even more miserie, you will never get the result you wanted.
