I never smile without reason. I don't intentionally avoid eye contact, but I'm not exactly going to glare at people to the point they begin to feel uncomfortable.

I do not smile or make eye contact with strangers. There is a simple reason for not doing so, what if they do not smile back or think you are strange? When you are walking on the street you are not there to socialise with complete strangers. In big cities it is also very difficult, are you going to smile at every single person you see? For me smiling is letting my guard down and I only do that around people I know. Around my friends I smile like a light bulb.

Sometimes I like to make eye contact with strangers I meet, but not say anything, and just have blank, serious look on my face. It's just funny to see what they do. Usually they just get uncomfortable, and look away.
