attractive vs beauty

Do you distinguize between both?Who do you consider good looking or attractive?

For example i think Naomi Watts

or Kristen Stewart are pretty however for me Susan Sarandon or Uma Thurman they aren't pretty and i see they very attractive

I dunno if it's really the same thing, but there's a huge difference between finding someone attractive and being attracted to them. At least that's the case. I can objectively look at someone and see if they're attractive without being attracted to them in the slightest (this accounts for like 99% of the male population for me. I've always been extremely selective when it comes to people I'm actually attracted to). There's definitely difference between pretty, hot, cute, beautiful etc. though

No. There are beautiful women who aren't attractive, because of their character/behavioural traits. A stunning woman who is at the same time an obnoxious bitch is usually considered unattractive by most. I can't think of a particular example right now but I am sure there are many

Ah, but that depends on how well you know her. If you don't know she's "an obnoxious bitch," then her beauty is sufficient to make her attractive.

Well you know what I mean, assume you are standing in line at the bank and there is one gorgeous woman with obnoxious behaviour, pushing people to get ahead, screaming and swearing at them and generally behaving in a totally deranged manner. That kind of thing

I think beauty is absolute, while attractiveness is very subjective. For exemple, i find Mourinho attractive even if he's not that beautiful, while Brad Pitt (who is a beautiful man) communicates nothing to me. But nobody would never suggest that Brad Pitt isn't good looking. It's just an exemple. Beauty is objective anyway, cause there are also biological parametres which influence this perception.

Thank you for saying what I was just about to. This is exactly right.

Some of the ugliest people out there are beautiful on the outside. They're still ugly, though.
