Someone from your own ethnicity or someone from foreign ethnicity? Who would you prefer?

frankly i dunno whether this kind of subject exists on this message board or not but let me make this question a bit clear
would you prefer someone from your ethnicity who has different mindset, cultural aspects, religion, beliefs, spirituality, the way of thinking, ideology etc over someone who is not from your own, ethnicity or country? humanness, humbleness, sincerity, honesty, modesty matter a lot as priority
or someone from other ethnicity or race who is like-minded who has similarity with you in all things described above?
to me, not being a nationalist or racist i'd definitely pick the second option 'someone from other ethnicity or race', and certainly not excluding my family members, beloved ones and relatives

No preference-- originally, I always anticipated marrying another White American-- but my long-term boyfriend is Turkish. It was a very pleasant surprise when we met and bonded instantly over how similar our beliefs and values are. There don't seem to be many others in the US with the same combination of left and right wing views as us, and very few others worldwide with the spiritual beliefs he and I share. I totally understand if people have emotional feelings about miscegenation, but I do wonder if they will miss out on anything beautiful because of it.
