Part of Russia? Just 1809 - 1917. Before that Finland was part of Sweden for more than 700 years. And as part of the Russian Empire just about 100 years Finland was even an autonomous part of the Empire. That allowed Finns to keep their Swedish-time Western laws, Western Lutheran religion and they were not forced to learn Russia etc.


As Winter War started 11/1939 Finland had been 22 years independent country. You asked about Winter War 2? So Russians would attack again to Finland as trying to occupy Finland and connect it again to Mother Russia?

i usually don't take sides but in this particular case i'm gonna make an exception. my vote certainly goes to finland without a doubt.. neighbor rotten chauvinist swines were shamefully kicked out of that tiny land during the years 1939–45.

I once met shortly the 7. man's daughter. She was an old woman. She fought for 10 years on behalf of his father's medals and finally as won the case, she donated all of them to Finland's military museum.

Finland since I'm related to finns and the russophobic judeo-bolsheviks destroyed Russia in 1917. We're still ruled by the soviets who hate everything Russian or just anything that isn't submissive to them.
