In your town/city, which jobs are foreigners (of any race/ethnicity) most prevalent in?

I live in what is still one of the whitest cities in the UK (though of course only relatively so - it is far more multiracial/multi-ethnic than when I moved here over two decades ago).

Nowadays, I'd say that 98% of food deliverers I see on their bikes are foreigners, be they Eastern Europeans, Africans, Middle Easterners or South Asians. Furthermore, a very high percentage of people working in takeaways, corner shops, petrol stations and to a lesser extent restaurants are foreigners (mostly but not exclusively South Asians). And while the GPs here are still mainly White British, in the hospitals I'd estimate that 20-30% of the nurses and 40-50% of the doctors are of foreign extraction (Indians, Filipinos and Nigerians in particular among the former, and Indians, Egyptians and Chinese in particular among the latter).

I suppose this is because my city/region has historically been pretty working-class, but the majority of cleaners and other similar menial workers here are definitely locals, though the number of foreigners in such jobs has definitely increased too. As for farm work, notwithstanding a lot of seasonal labourers from particularly Eastern Europe, most of them are locals too.

Also, in my city nowadays, many if not most barbers and launderette staff are Kurds. (In fact, I even met one with red hair and blue eyes who looked totally Irish!) Taxi drivers ar eincreasingly South Asian too.

Food delivery is increasingly done by Nepalis and Indians. Filipinos work in hotels and bakeries. Albanians own and run bakeries (muslims) and jewellery shops (catholics). Bosnians work in construction but Indians and Nepalis do too. Serbs work as waiters on the coast. Bus drivers are increasingly Bosnians.
