Not a big problem imo, despite everything there's a shortage of housing and young people can't afford the rents, we are well above our ideal population, Scandinavian countries work fine with much lower densities. Regarding the work force issue it's also a false problem, too many people have useless non essential jobs and mechanization, AI and robotization Will render many of those jobs obsolete.

Europe in general is ageing, it has to do with high life expectancy and low births and Africa is the other way around.

There are indeed a lot of old people living all year here, that's expected i guess considering the cost of living. In summer however it doesn't feel like it because a lot of non citizens are around, which is the same in the neighbour areas of the riviera (Cannes and Nice have that reputation as well)
