Default Dream College/Uni for you or your child?

What would be your dream college/university for you or your children? Please refrain from making a long rant about the evils or shortcomings of college because that is not for this thread. I simply want to know what college and universities you would like to go to in a perfect world.

None. I would prefer my hypothetical children learn a trade that will pay very well and not leave them in debt.

I wish I had not gone to a university.

Things are different now than they were 25 years ago when I started college. I was lucky to have parents who paid for half and I did part-time jobs so I graduated with no debt.

I'm hoping for a state college as opposed to a private one for that reason. Penn State or Berkeley are the two at the top if they can get make the grades to get in. If not, I'm hoping for the community college option for the first year or two. The first two years have so many of the same core classes and it gives a person a better understanding of what direction they want in their education.
This just might be a career that doesn't require a degree and can be started right away.

Fortunately you decided that legal education was not worthwhile for you and had the initiative to go your own way to find a more flexible field of work that also suited to your personality (corning). I hope you did not yet accumulate a significant amount of debt by that time.

College Is the biggest scams of the century, does not guarantee success but becoming one more number for the largest corporation (employee) and probably In debt.

Financial literacy is more important to learn from elementary school than any other stupid subject like Christopher Columbus. There is nothing like teaching yourself to be a great entrepreneur, but unfortunately In a society where bankers and capitalists are starving, they know that teaching everyone from childhood financial education and entrepreneurship It's a big deal, since no one would want to be a plumber or a cashier , you need slaves. to function in a modern society.

I recommend you to study online anything to do with IT to be your own boss and have personal freedom.

Most Institutions don't promise that , you would probably need over 30 years to get a great return investment . You need money to make money If you are an average working class american who's living paycheck to paycheck (not saying your case) how on earth you going to invest?

The secret is to not pay a college 54,000 USD for a degree, but to pay the college 500 USD for five years library membership.
Everywhere across whatever sorrows of which our life is woven, some radiant joy will gaily flash past.

Good answer and thoughtful. I think those are good schools, not private right?

Uni isnt much important after graduating from Lycée de Galatasaray but i would probably prefer a decent Finnish, Norwegian or AU-NZ uni. Amerika doesnt impress me anymore.
