In your country, are nurses generally seen as working-class or middle-class?

The middle class has shrunk in Turkey just like anywhere, but in Turkey's case, I think it is more severe.

Or rather: people with middle-class occupations and levels of education have seen their incomes and living standards substantially decline.

Working class here.

There are three categories of nurses (very basically):

1. Nursing auxilliaries - requires 1 year education
2. Enrolled nurses - requires 2 years education
3. Registered nurses - requires a bachelor's degree

I have the following qualifications:

- General nursing
- Community health nursing
- Psychiatric nursing
- Midwifery
- Nursing Education (post-graduate qualification)
- Master's degree

I have over 20 years nursing experience and earn the same that a freshly qualified RN with only a general qualification does.
