It's about what's out of the your ordinary. Most asians look same to me, or sometimes blonde blue-eyed people look alike (not alike like asians, of course, much easier to spot) cuz I'm surrounded by brown-haired people with brown eyes.

I think the reason they do that is precisely because they all look alike.

What would she classify a pale dark-haired person as? Many brunettes are not tan complexioned at all.
