From last gen for gaming I would recommend 5800x3d. But to be fair even a basic 4 core won't bottleneck a rtx4060.

I don't know why AMD still has made Ryzen 5500 PCIE 3.0... . It should be 4.0 instead.

It is weak, but I bet DLSS 3.0 will overcome it's weakness.

You lose some performance running a rtx4060 @ PCIe3.0x8 but it is not really noticeable.

For gaming it is better to spend more of your budget on the gpu than cpu. The very best cpu on the market today is only going to get him a few extra fps.

Yes his computers are so amazing! I am a huge fan of of Lian Li case, fans and other accessories because they were designed by him.
He also inspired me to get the Kraken NZXT water cooler for my CPU. And I don’t regret it
