Is Athens Greece the ugliest EU capital?

It's dirty, noisy and there are too many semi-derelicts around.

Plus, it's the only port city in Greece where you can't swim in the sea because it is so polluted, you have to go out of the city.

No, I don’t think so. But honestly I noticed that Greek cities are kinda different to other Mediterranean cities like Iberian or Italian towns. For example Italian cities have something romantic(similar to Iberian cities) while Greek cities don’t have this vibes. Sure, there are a lot of wonderful places there, but I wasn’t really torn like I am in Italy. Nevertheless Greece is a wonderful country, if I wouldn’t have relatives in Turkiye Id rather prefer Greece, Athena can’t be more depressing than all this concrete nightmare cities.

Ugliest EU capital is Paris by far.

Athens is old fashioned like Budapest, but cool place and full of many ancient historical buildings.

I had never heard that Paris is ugly...it's becoming a total shithole but the city itself is beautiful and monumental, just remove the scum and it would flourish again as the queen of european capitals.

I agree, Paris is one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, architecturally speaking and also for its history. I have been to both Paris and Budapest and the Pest side of Budapest is heavily inspired in Paris (and many other cities have architecture that drew inspiration from Paris).

I agree, Tirana Albania is horse than Athens, even worse are some cities in Bosnia And Herzegovina, It looks like its a bombarded place there, like another world
