He just sounds like a stupid American trying shoehorn his notions of class onto the English. Alan Turing was not a prole and Debian is not bleeding edge , like Arch Linux, it is literally set and forget and only has new releases every two years or so. Also, AI being the new electricity means it is going to be everywhere and he won't be able to escape it.

Charles Babbage ? Not a prole

Ada Byron Lovelace ? Not a prole

Alan Turing ? Not a prole

Arch linux is nice but I read a lot of negative comments about systemd virus and that put me off.
And also when I use linux, I install wine and play windows games all the time. On openBSD I can't do that. That's the main reason why I choose to use BSD on my laptop.
Openbsd doesn't support a lot of software, and that's the downside...

I don't like arch linux because the install process is pointless (I have succesfully installed it) , I don't trust AUR (it is shady) and sometimes it moves so fast that it breaks things.

I just don't play games I am too mature mentally for that.

Yeah, I bet that the newest debian probably feels like rolling release distro?

There is testing which might as well be a rolling release and there is Sid which is even more bleeding edge but testing is the least secure of all three : stable, testing and sid.

I've used devuan linux for about 8 months and I had a good experience with it. I don't like the name 'devuan' though. The newest stable distribution is based on Debian Bullseye, so...
    https://www.devuan.org/

Still I spoke to plenty of clever people on irc chat, they all use devuan, so that must not be a bad distribution after all. It comes with 3 init systems.

I tried it already and I I have run Debian before there was systemd and devuan doesn't feel exactly like that it just felt like more of a pain in the ass MXlinux is based on Debian and you can boot it up without systemd.

    Yeah, I know.

Some people say that linux is a poison this days. I am not a professionalist, who needs software to make money, so I'd rather just stay with openBSD :-).

By default maybe but you can modify it , like I did, and Debian is not Ubuntu or Mint. Poison ? MacOSX and Windows are literally spyware.

Yeah, I know it is... Originally I was looking for a platform to play games, and when I saw how many processes windows has in the background, that I don't need for playing games, it literally put me off.
Later I moved into linux, and on my laptop I played games like Diablo 3 on wine, and this game performed better than on windows 10! Well maybe because I had 2 graphics cards there, and linux used intel 6xx not the nvidia 940mx that made my laptop so hot, like 100 celsius degrees!

But later I decided to sell my laptop and get a thinkpad from this british company: https://minifree.org
And for now I am getting into free open-source games, and one day I might even host my own server or help with development .

edit: Nice setup though, 16gb ram and nice thinkpad, Debian must run like charm on this machine! but openBSD runs great on my thinkpad x200 . They keyboard is so neat on that x200... So soft and smooth... <3
