Later I moved into linux, and on my laptop I played games like Diablo 3 on wine, and this game performed better than on windows 10! Well maybe because I had 2 graphics cards there, and linux used intel 6xx not the nvidia 940mx that made my laptop so hot, like 100 celsius degrees!

But later I decided to sell my laptop and get a thinkpad from this british company: https://minifree.org
And for now I am getting into free open-source games, and one day I might even host my own server or help with development .

edit: Nice setup though, 16gb ram and nice thinkpad, Debian must run like charm on this machine! but openBSD runs great on my thinkpad x200 . They keyboard is so neat on that x200... So soft and smooth... <3
Alright, good for you, I guess, but I don't play games or video games.

Yeah, same here, I've stopped a few weeks ago... It's fun but feels unproductive at this point.
May I ask what that stuff from a second screenshot is?

that's my setup, I could get more ram, but 4GB is good enough for my needs. I will probably try to set up a nice i3status bar, once I feel like going off the forums for a while

Spectre and meltdown security mitigations that I added to the Linux kernel that shows that I am not vulnerable and I turned hyperthreading off, in the bios, but OpenBSD disables it by default for the same reason. I am 100% immune but Debian is not by default.

Oh yeah, I am aware of the spectre and meltdown. I also have used firejail and firetools before!
Nice stuff! I try to keep myself secure too, but it seems like we live in the society where things like that don't matter... People still keep uploading everything to their android smartphones, post their whole lives on social media and are proud of their fast windows 11 machines, sigh...

Well, not everyone can be elite mate even my entire SSD is encrypted with no TRIM after I filled it with data from /dev/urandom and I have AIDE setup etc.. etc.. etc.. :

AIDE is an intrusion detection system for checking the integrity of files.
