Pretty much nothing. The US was founded and built primarily by whites, not Indians. They were once considered enemies and the US army fought against them. They are American, but not more American than whites or even than the blacks or mestizos.

Romans said the same about their european colonies, the conqueror always say that. I think not all natives are the same, now we know that at least some natives had higher civilisation, if they had, probably the others knew that too, because they were connected.
