I heard rumors France might bomb them and/ or invade... Sounds like they need a dose of sanctions if that occurs.. oh wait!... the west is immune to sanctions, only they can impose their interests on other countries... silly me

Kazachstan and Canada will take over that market.

Europeans represent less than 10% of the world population.

And will people in Canada and Kazachstan live on $2 per day and live without electricity themselves, so Europeans can have cheap uranium?

Or are Europeans going to have to pay a lot more rather than just taking it and exploiting their workers?

The same applies with gold. (The new authorities in Niger have announced a ban on gold exports to France as well.)

The western leaders call it the "rules-based international order." The west makes the rules and break the rules as they go along and they want their so-called "rules-based international order" to replace international law.

It's western exceptionalism and immunity to international law.

If the French invade Niger (their weapons stocks are depleted after sending so much to Ukraine,) it will be under the guise of "defending democracy" following the coup - but we all know that it's about uranium. (Macron and Hollande and the hypocritical EU were silent and very supportive of the western-backed Maidan coup in Kiev in 2014, and the violent rioters were funded by western NGOs.)

They will also have to face the Russian Wagner forces in Niger and Mali who have already kicked a lot of the French troops out. China may send assistance to help Niger and Mali. They can become candidates for joining the BRICS+ alliance, like lots of other African nations, Latin American nations, and Middle East nations.

Thanks to China’s covid and Russian aggression, all these actions tend to reinforce is that a stable partner is the best trading partner.

Niger will end up with less and someone else more. Uranium is neither rare nor particularly expensive. Its dictators worse off but its people no more poor than before the coup.

Guinea became the first country to support the new authorities in Niger, saying that it expects guarantees of stability and harmony in the country from them.

Oh, but France didn't object to the US and EU violently overthrowing Ukraine's president and western-backed rioters setting the Ukrainian parliament on fire in 2014, and shooting the President's car wheels that caused the Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to flee for his life to Russia. The former French President François Hollande and the EU and US officials actively supported the coup and encouraged the rioters "to fight for their democracy", that sparked an 8 year civil war in Donbass that led to genocide of 14,000 ethnic Russian civilians, including 152 children, who've been shelled daily by the western installed Kiev regime since the 2014 coup.

But when it comes to a country on another continent that doesn't share borders with France, hasn't installed a load of biolabs around them (like the Pentagon (not a health dept) did to Russia and China around their borders,) and hasn't committed genocide of their people, etc... they strongly object to a military coup after 80% of the people were exploited and living on $2 per day and no electricity, due to their corrupt western puppet leader who's now been overthrown.

Mali and Burkina Faso have officially announced that they will declare war if Western-controlled ECOWAS nations invade Niger. Russian Wagner forces have helped Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger to kick out the French occupiers who exploited their resources.

In Niger, the representative of the National Council for the Salvation of the Motherland, Colonel Abdraman, said that the upcoming ECOWAS summit, with the participation of Western states, was preparing a military intervention in the country.

The Economic Community of West Africa (ECOWAS) closed borders between the countries of the community and Niger and stopped commercial flights.

"The West African Community gives a week for the President to return to power in Niger, then it can take measures, incl. military." - statement.

Can someone explain me in what France is exploiting Niger and is responsible of the underdevelopment of the country?

By the way a third of uranium bought by France came from Niger.
