There is many diffrent theories about that but if you look at the old maps you will see.

Since the very start of civilization Armenians have lived there, and you can see in the maps the Armenian kingdoms one after another. Armenians have created civilisation in the Armenians Highland, have shed too much blood to protect their land. After the Genocide when most Armenians of Western Armenia were massacred and others expelled from their ancestral home, Kurds of Turkey were mainly settled on the Armenian lands, but they have no contribution in the region, not a single monument or even funny to speak of kingdom, and they are initially from Iran and Iraq. They have always been nomadic herders and not a settled population. Even now they are spread around the world.
