I agree. I don't think a strong emotional bond can be created without that connection gained through intimacy. In fact, the bedroom is the barometer of the relationship. When things are rocky the rocks are in the bed too. When things get better, the bedroom heats up together.

Sometimes sex is just used for pleasure and to satisfy the biological needs.
The benefits aren't as lasting as when in a partnership. Nothing is better than being with a person who you have given everything to.

God did give us our sex drives. Perhaps God is trying to say something to those unfortunates born without one.

Even tho fornication is considered to be a deadly sin, need of sex is a sort of natural passion, that is why one should marry to fulfill the natural need in a proper way without falling into sin. Ortho Christian should normally have a family or become a monk (who devotes life to God), abstinence for nothing, not for God is absolutely useless and unnatural.

God gave us a biological imperative when it comes to sex. We get to choose how we act on this imperative.

Of course, marrying (to a good and suitable person) is the best option. But not everyone is lucky. If you did not have the opportunity to get used to a sexual drug in your youth, having gained experience, then IMHO you should not try any more - you will be disappointed yourself and disappoint your partner.

For me the most important thing in sex is not reproduction or sexual pleasure, it is the connection and unity with your partner, also because during sexual intercourse or in tantra you exchange energy with the other person, so after sex you can feel more happy or more depressed depending on who you do it with.
