Obviously most people are not Elephant Man level ugly. When I say ugly, I simply mean not attractive. I find only a minority of the people I see (physically) to be so. If that makes me have a distorted perception, then so be it.

I think people forgot about fortress of Europe, he looks more Germanic than Kiel and Norb to me. I bet we are forgetting about someone, because he or she wasnt creating threads or posting photos all the time.

I think in terms of facial beauty per se i agree to a an extend. But there are a few factors: Average people -especially the lower class/ lower middle class, but only of course- do not take care of their bodies and health, because its simply hard and the self destructive tendencies they have, also that destructive substances like alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, too much fat/sugar give you easy fast pleasure but destroy you in the long run. In men even facially ugly guys become desirable if they are phyiscally fit. One thing also- our view on facial beauty is manipulated by the media- even just by our pears/society id say (so its a very long time of dictating beatuy standards which can change actually also quicky), we do not have a healty view on facial beauty anyway- thats why ugly people seem to be more common also

But that is what we mean when we say average looking- or unremarkable. But then I believe average looking is a spectrum, with obviously people at the higher end being mildly attractive, but not drop dead gorgeous.

To assess the level of attractiveness of the Swedes, you should visit China or India. All Europeans are very attractive in comparison with other races.

I agree that especially for men, simply being lean can change their looks quite a bit. An average face but lean body will give the illusion of being more attractive. Females were designed to carry more fat.
