very lately i've been watching a significant amount of cisco packet tracer tutor reviews on youtube because i need one to renew and repeat my almost forgotten skills and knowledge in practice. i've started to notice how many of those reviewers are indian. I don't wanna discredit their it-professional-reviewing ability or anything like that. i admit that they are certainly experts in what they are doing, but for the love of GOD, i just can't hear them talk. that thick accent is so unbearable, sometimes i don't even understand what they are trying to say. they usually have good expanded vocabulary and proper english grammar but the way they talk makes my ears bleed. i'd actually appreciate it much more if they talked in their mother tongue and put some subtitles under the screen. anyways, i just wanted to know whether or not it's racism for saying that? i know that there's probably a good chunk of indian youtubers whose accents are not a freaking nightmare, but it's so hard to find them among 800 million content. The point is, when i try to get a relevant video only indian youtubers pop up whatever you click on(it reminds me of a famous user on this board mortimer who constantly produces multiple low-quality subjects), they have literally own the platform in large volume, i myself am a very patient and calm person by nature, but it oversteps the limits and it really pisses off.. those who had the same experience you all could share your story, as well

no i don't think , indians sucks to the max with their fucking awfull accent,it's because most of the time it's not punjabis but tamils or sri lankeses,only punjabis and hindiphones indians have a decent understable english and accent ,even with some kind of "high budgeted" bollywood movie with some profesionnal actors it's fucking awfull,aside a few hollywood based actors like former northern indians like Priyanka Chopra,their high pitched accent with their ability to turn the Rs into Ls ,makes them a pain in the ass to understand it, "my friend"

Idk what to say but I normally don't like to discriminate....but in recent times I've had a similar dilemma in regards to seeing tutors for University subjects I used to be open to seeing anyone especially considering the school provides limited tutoring for free but I've had a few repeated issues with male tutors (and even a few students) from a few certain cultural/racial backgrounds being really rude, stupidly macho/sexist, insulting me, and not being as proficient in the material as they should be so now I'm thinking of mainly choosing tutors with white or asian surnames if they are male as I've always had the best experience with them but I feel bad to do this and it also probably means it will be harder for me to get an appointment considering the high demand. I've never had trouble like this with female tutors so I will still see any female tutors regardless of background. But I feel bad though because I know not all male tutors from those few backgrounds are bad like that (I will not reveal which groups to avoid upsetting people here) and I don't use tutoring that much anyways. So idk I'd be curious if someone thinks I'm being racist, you can be honest. If I told people I had these thoughts irl though they would probably hate me for good. But It's just that I want my school experience to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible. I don't mean any hate with this comment.

And I could always get a private tutor but they are VERY expensive. Or just forget tutors all together lol which might be a good idea.

Anyways to try and answer your question, I would say I lean towards it not being racism because your concern is not based on negative assumptions about their race directly and it doesn't cause harm in any sense whatsoever. But I think it being considered racism or not depends on the moral views of the person.

If they are in english... I get very pissed with videos with English titles but the spoken language of the video is something else.

I've learned a lot of stuff through watching indians' tutorials. The accent is annoying especially when they mix the English with their own indian words but still they contribute a lot with almost no means at all and no financing.

Obviously it's not racist just like it's not racist to not like Black rap music and just like it's not racist to only want to listen to Mongolian throat singing. It's called a taste/ your character's traits to like some things and others not.

Racism is when you think some people are better or worse because of them belonging to a certain race.

For example I have a hard time understanding Black/African-American people in the US when they speak in Black American English dialect.
