During WW2 Germany both committed and intended to commit terrible crimes to the Poles and Poland.
That included the "Generalplan Ost" which was an intended crime aimed at destroying the Poles completely.
Why do you think that losing the Ostgebiete was a crime, rather than an adequate punishment for earlier German crimes?
And if you think that losing the Ostgebiete was not an adequate punishment, then what alternative punishment do you suggest?
Do you think that the Germans did not deserve to be punished for the crimes they committed and intended to commit in WW2?
