Default Names which are German but not Austrian and vice versa?

I guess that would be very rare as most Austrians share language and surnames and names with Germans, because both are Germans

One name I can think of being German but very rare in Austria is

"Sören"... I never met an Austrian with name Sören.... Do the Austrians here agree?

Yes, I agree, but thats really nothing new. Kai-Uwe, Jan, Sven, Gunnar, Dörte, Frauke, Wiebke, etc. all is rare to nonexistent in Austria and sounds stereotypically German.

Sven and Gunnar are not German but Swedish/Scandinavian. The German form of Gunnar is Gunther/Günther. Sven has no German form as it refers to tribal Swedes.

Jan (short form of Johann(es)), Kai, Dörte (nick of Dorothea), Frauke (etymologically Frauchen), Wiebke (etymologically Weibchen) are all Northern German names from the Low German speaking area. Not sure about Uwe.

Sören is not German but Danish and derived from Severin. It's the post-war destruction of German pride that has led to this patethic xenophilia to prefer foreign names before German ones.

Are there no names that are shared in Germany and Denmark or other Scandinavian countries,

The name Van is exclusively Dutch or can also be found in Germany.

Ronny, Maik and Mandy are thinking you are overly zealous in this regard.

Correct, Frisian names. I would add those:

Reemt, Tjark, Onno, Okka, Trientje, Jupp, Fokko, Wilke, Renske, Ubbo, Hauke

Some of those names are also popular in the Netherlands because East Frisian people are genetically and linguistically closer to Dutch than to German.
One of my ex boyfriends was Dutch for example and his name was also Jupp.
