Are people more angry on Apricity than before?

Just a little question for everyone to ponder: is it just me, or are people responding in a more tense, angry manner to posts than they had previously? I certainly hope that this is not the case, but I've gone over the posts from a few folks lately that seem far more combative and unfriendly than I've seen on Apricity in the past. I hope that it's just a perception problem, as I really like you goofballs and want to keep visiting this forum for many moons to come! :-)

Oh, and this is the first time I've tried to start a thread! I'm a laggard, I suppose . . .

Nah.. it is autumn. Not the best season for people as people in Northern and Northwestern Europe tend to get somewhat melancholic and depressed.

And you know how people when they feel somewhat down and miserable: they get flammable.

Nah. We drink more in summer. This is the way the European works: we feel great during spring (we feel liberated from winter), we feel fantastic in summer (and we drink a lot), life sucks in autumn and winter is downright depressing.

Not ALL of us! I actually hate the heat, and just try to survive the Summers, not enjoy them. Winter is superb - crisp, fresh, the mud is frozen, the eyes can open wide without blinding from the sun, you feel more alive!

Around here, winter is the season I really look forward to. If the weather is hot enough, summer is simply an inferno. Fall is much better because things really start to cool off. During the winter, you can have dry, sunny days where it is 35F outside. All you need is enough outerwear, and you're good to go. Spring is still much better than summer, and it gives you enough time to grit your teeth and get ready for summer again.

I don't think Octothorpe were interested in any "climate and season" discussion.


Why are the peoples more trollish than in the past ? Well, i think it's natural. Psycho-sociologic issue. Many of the members of Apricity share a long personal history of militancy on the internet boards. Several years of presence on the various "Skadi-Althing", "Stirpes", "TNP-Nordfolk", "The Phora", "Stormfront", "Anthroforum", "Dodona", etc, etc, etc...................

They're unconsciously bored (at a deep level).

Objectively threads like : "would you marry a mixed race people ? " have been opened dozens of times.

YES, it's a kind of issue that doesn't loose its relevance (especially these days), but.......
