Default Reclassify and place Coon Borreby example

Since Coon did not have a faelid type, there seems to be a lot of overlap between Coon's borreby and some of the other anthropologist's category of Faelid at the time.

Out of curiousity, do you believe this man from Germany that Coon labelled as borreby would still be classified as borreby on this thread, or do you believe he would be more classified as faelid(or something else?). Also where would you place him? Does he look typical German? Would he pass more in the north or south of Germany?

Just as a note: This man has one of the widest and largest heads ever measured. Also, not perceptible in the black and white picture, he is blond and blue eyed.

Moreover, he is extremely brachycephalic (CI: 86), which precludes the "Faelid" classification (who are dolicho or mesocephalic by definition).

His Brachycephaly is from the extreme width of his head though, rather than from lack of length like an alpine skull. While faelids are not brachycephalic, Coon did not have a longheaded or mediumheaded Germanic "Cromagnid" category. His Brunn has too long of a face to be comparable, and looks more stereotypically Celtic.

Either way I am more curious as to what people here would classify him as based on the picture alone. Given that most classifications are based on a single front shot, with no metrics given, I was curious if the jawline would make people say Faelid.

So you are curious of how clueless anthrotards from TA who don't know what a Borreby is will classify him. I see, you're a very open-minded guy.

A brachycephalic head coupled with a great skull length is exactly the most distinguishing characteristic of the Borreby type. Borreby is the correct classification for this man.

Actually to your first question, yes, I was curious of that because I will often see people classify anyone who is bald as borreby, of face and skull types very different to Coons.

Second, if this is the case, could you tell me if my face and skull are metrically borreby? I am curious of this as well. I have a mesocephalic skull bordering on low brachycephaly and I feel like I resemble the borreby samples the most.

    Skull length: 202mm
    Skull Width: 161mm
    Bizygomatic Width: 151mm
    Bigonial Width: 115mm
    Total Face Height:122mm
