I'm not saying the English or Irish are swarthy, southern European in appearance, or non-European looking. I am simply stating that dark types are more common there than an any region of Germany. In Germany people who approximate this look tend to be in more northern regions and typically will have a paleo atlantid/tydal phenotype, much like exists in Britain and Scandinavia(Max Schmeling is a good example).

I'm also not saying dark hair does not exist or is uncommon in southern Germany, just that light brown hair is the most common color, along with blue eyes. Germany is also much more blue eyed than Britain. This is not to say Britain doesn't have a lot of blue eyes, but it is to say brown eyes are more common there than in Germany.

Brown hair or brown eyes does not mean one is not as northern European either.

I'm just discussing Irish and not English. Someone else can do that. I would say that Germans have a lot more variance in colouring than Irish i.e. more blonds but also more swarthy types. Irish are a lot more uniform in skin type and eye colour for example. So I would honestly argue that the Germans have a lot more light types but also darker types than the Irish. Irish have a high percentage with very fair skin and blue eyes. I don't think that is controversial and would make sense genetically as well as Germans have a lot more range in their genetics than a smaller population like the Irish.

Looks like a normal brunette northern french to flemish to me, nothing wog (facial features are not, neither his tanned skin).

Supercomputer based his map on professional studies. The Germany data comes from Rudolf Virchow's massive survey of almost seven million schoolchildren in the German Empire published 1875. Other personal observations were just for fine tuning.
