In summary I think that strong Polish and Lithuanian nationalisms did much more harm than good to the people from ethnic borderlands.

These people were not hostile to Lithuanians by default. And they could live with each other. And perhaps even they could have been reclaimed for Lithuania - whether on national or ethno-linguistic terms or both, or other. There was no Belfast and no Volhynia in the Wilnius region. No uprising, no terrorism. Different variants were still possible. But in XXth c, for several reasons, people had to take sides there was no longer a single Rzeczpospolita.

If both

- the rights of Lithuania to its historical lands

- and the rights of Polish and Ruthenian-speaking Litwiny to their own tradition.

In my private opinion Poles from Vilnian Country must have national autonomy inside modern "Lithuania" just like Serbs in Bosnia or Catalans in Spain. If baltic chauvinism against Poles doesn't stop it Polish people should start fight for freedom independent state.

Germany should have it's 1937 borders.. among with other things. Deutsches Reich! It's still a legal political entity... unfortunately occupied for the time being. 1914 borders are not so bad either.

I believe western Europeans unfairly separated banat region from Hungarian proper after WW-1. I would support the return of this province to Hungary from today`s Serbia and Romania. I think there are more than a million Hungarians living there today despite all the expulsions.

These places belonged to the Ottoman empire and Hungary for more than 1000 years.

This is indeed a problem in Lithuania. Political autonomy could be a step further in the wrong direction - it would stir antagonisms. The real problem is restricting the language and the schoold.

The law of 31 July 1924 made Lithuanian a second official language in all gminy and powiaty were Lithuanians formed a substantial majority. That meant that Lithuanian could be used as an official language in whole Swieciany powiat and one parish of Wilno powiat.

In 1922 there were 52 schools with Lithuanian language. True that the Sanacja regime did try to limit Lithuanian, however it was never "banned". That is plain bullshit.

Greater Hungary, Germany and Finland would exist. Romania and Moldova would be reunited. France would drawn out into the middle of the Atlantic and sunk there.As well the Åland Islands would belong to Sweden. And there would be an independent Republic of Svalbard.
