Well, funny you should ask. A group of us (best classifiers on TA) have recently come together to add two, brand new criterion for Borreby. In fact we believe that these new criterion are so important, the individual in question must display these two traits in order to even be considered -

1. Fat
2. Bald

I was kidding around with my response of course.

Perhaps the combo (fat and bald) can steer some partially Borreby phenotypes in the seemingly fully Borreby direction, mistakenly. I believe this probably happens on occasion in this thread. Real or imagined, it seems Borreby gets the fat and bald wrap.

True, All Northern Euros including Brits always have a higher fat content, it's just nature. Higher fat = higher acids and other compounds for the muscles to use, if you notice no elite strongmen are super cut; being pure muscle really puts people at a disadvantage, that's why Mr.Universe contests don't have any actual physical activity those guys can barely move. Also why the best UFC fighters look malnourished or fat.

You will maybe hate me after this, but sorry, I have to refute your theory or at least to show that does not have always to be case.

1.Most Northern Euros are skinny or skinny fat people, just like rest of Europe.

2. Its true that majority of MMA and Strongmen guys are not extremely cut but there is decent amount of them with not so high body fat percentage (well, for Bodybuilding standards yes, but for ordinary people no). Good example of that is Mariusz Pudzianowski, he was 5 time WSM (he still hold record for most WSM titles) and he looked like this for his entire career.



3. Last but not least, current UFC HW Champion (which is undoubtedly most prestigious title in world of combat sports tody) and man who defended UFC HW belt most times is Balkanite (well, American with Croatian roots to be more precise), not some Northern guy and he is not fat at all.



So, as I said, none of them is on level with Bodybuilders but a lot of them has decent body fat. Fat ≠ muscles/strength, I (for example) am 6ft2 and around 230 pounds at this moment with 5 pounds of fat, yet that doesnt stop me to deadlift 440 pounds 6 times in a row or to outwrestle guy who is 30 pounds heavier (I am also training MMA beside going to gym).

Zero Baltid in that man. He is better example of Borreby than 90% of examples posted here.

PS. Zero Borreby in man you posted, he is Norid with CM influence.

He approaches Borreby more so than most of the examples previously posted in this thread, but that doesn't disclude that he has Baltid influences. You can compare him with a textbook Borreby:



And no, the person I posted is not a Norid or has no Dinaric influences at all, people seem to think that everyone with a convex nose has Dinarid/Armenoid influences, which isn't true at all. The original Cro-Magnons were hook nosed like him, even if most Borrebies, but not all, have concave noses. At most, he probably has some Nordic influences (evident mostly in his eyes). Not to mention that Dinaric influences in Scandinavia sans for Denmark is virtually non-existent.
