It must be awful to experience sleep paralysis. I'm glad I've never had it.

I have experienced it many times.

Nothing to do with demons though...

It has everything to do with demons. There are many different kinds of demons. Smaller, larger, weaker, more powerful, and with very different functions too.

Thankfully only once. It felt very random, because I don't tend to have nightmares or remember my dreams in the morning.

I have experienced it once and my flatmate heard me rant in my sleep as I attacked something that was attacking me. The strangest thing was, that it happened during an unexpected daytime nap (I had been reading) and I never felt like I had even been asleep. Certainly not for more than a few minutes.

You can't rant while having sleep paralysis. Your facial muscles are unable to move. You want to scream and you cannot move or speak. It's a gruesome experience.

Then it wasn't that, but it was one of the weirdest things i ever experienced. I have had nightmares, but this was different and I am unsure what it was.

I experienced it twice when I was around 7 years old it was pretty scary and I did see a dark figure either lurk by a mirror or come up to me then disappear.

What makes you an expert on ‘demons’ Loki?

My 2 cents …

Sleep paralysis is when the body is asleep and the mind is awake.
I would imagine, it is the Etheric body which ‘wakes up’, because we can look about the room, yet the room is somewhat different or a bit ‘distorted’. If we ‘woke up’ in the Astral body – we would Lucid Dream.

Used to have heaps of these paralysis scenarios and they did totally freak me out each time & I would force wake my physical body up in a panic, but then I did pluck up the courage to stay in them a little bit longer each time, in order to examine them – what was going on.

What I learned was, that each time I woke up in the Etheric body whilst my Physical body was asleep, were the times when I had Astral body visitors.
Usually, they were people I knew or had just met and they were ‘magnetized’ to my presence because of desire, curiosity or when they were a bit like ‘restless souls’ at the crossroads of their lives …
Only once did I see a shadowy figure behind the bedroom door – who did not come in, so I did not learn who it was.

But to automatically imagine these Astral visitors as demons and immediately go into a panicked fear response is self-preserving, but kinda stupid …

The last experience of this was, when tables were turned …
I visited a friend of a friend and stayed overnight.
He gave me his sofa bed to sleep in the bed/living room, whilst he himself slept on the kitchen floor.
At the end of the night, I found myself in the Astral Body looking down on someone.
Out of curiosity I came close to his face to see who it was.....
Did he freak out!!!
And we both shot awake at the same time as he screamed in the kitchen. Later at breakfast he told me he had thought the ‘devil’ had come. Lol.

If one during the sleep paralysis feels ‘someone’ pulling one’s feet … it is not a demon, it is just the Astral body trying to separate from the body.

If one feels like there is ‘somebody’ sitting on your bed … it is not a demon either, it is just you freaking out about your own sleeping body’s weight on the bed.

I never claimed to be an expert on demons.
