You have to have diversity these days even in countries where the majority of the population is white. Just look at ads now where there are so many black people. This is true of both the US and UK and I've noticed it in Australia as well where the black population is miniscule.

If you only watched TV, you might think that white people (including fumbling, bumbling white males) are a minority in the United States. Depending on the commercial break, you might even guess that the population is nearly 70 percent black and 30 percent “other.”

Dark hair is simply the norm unless you live North of the Danevirke.

Since brown hair is the norm in nearly all White countries, I took dark hair to mean dark brown or black.

Brown hair is included as dark hair. There is a wide range in the dark hair and brunet category. This is why I think it is meaningless as when people speak of brunettes now it means anything from a light brown haired, blue eyed and fair skinned woman to a black women. In the European context in the past it just meant a brown haired woman.

So I think it needs to be broken down more other than just using the description dark haired. In the purest sense brunettes were just brown haired not black haired. If you look at dictionary meanings it is quite varied on what a brunet or brunette means now but brun is brown. Now it appears to encompass a very wide range of hair colour because light brown is very different to black hair.

Since ever I've heard about darkies willing to protect their dark females from handsome blond guys and vice versa, German-Russian types (those two are overall quite different in mentality but they seem to agree when it comes to protecting the females of their legendary hyperborean tribe) fearing the strong dark man . Among new worlders it can even become a fetish or a collective fear of the tall muscular black dangerous man.
It's stuff that usually originates from old tribal instincts and reproductive competition between races.

But if someone was described as dark haired to you, you wouldn't picture light brown hair like this:

You would picture dark brown hair like this:

Maybe in Scandinavia all brown hair is considered dark hair, but even there I doubt it.

Darker features = higher genetic diversity.

Females, inbred or otherwise, desire men with higher genetic diversity. Why do you think BBC has been going around? Once you go black, you don’t go back.

Depends, sometimes they go black to piss off their husband or their community when they feel neglected or lack attention (sexual or affective).
