Default Why do Turks claim foods under any food reel on Insta?

I don't know about you, but I, along with many, many other users of Instagram, have noticed that Turks unironically appear under ANY. FOOD. REEL. and they claim the food. They even went under a very famous reel with a Nuttela desert, and claimed it as "(don't remember the city) bombasi", while it was a pastry that it's made by any culture on Earth that makes chocolate desserts.

Whether it's a joke or not (for the Greek food reels, they've shown it's not), it's as if they only have food to be proud of. Honestly, it's pathetic, it's just some fucking food. Plus, they were an empire once. Can they not comprehend that, apart from influencing others, they obviously got influenced by others as well? Because if they can't accept that basic fact... Well, that goes against the narrative of theirs in which they say they're tolerant and not wanting to promote claims against other peoples.

Byproduct of clashing with Greeks. Its almost daily news in Turkey, "Greeks now claim yet another food of Turkey.." Like our new high tech weapon systems are daily news in Greece. Seemingly defending our food went a little bit too far. But you started this. Admit that claiming Baklava was idiotic.

It is. But baklava and dolma are only some dishes. Greek cuisine is many, many things beyond that. The Turkish cuisine respectively has many Greek-influenced dishes like the seafood mezedes and the kokorec. But it has many many things beyond that respectively.

You are the only Turk who I can think of acknowledging that fact. Because all others have proven to be mindless chimps. I mean, they did reelect Erdogan so...

But you have to admit your reaction is way too chimpy and it seems like food (something that all humans can make) is your only source of pride.
