I think there's a glimmer of hope, and that would be an independent living program. But only if he is willing. I just hope he he can afford it too, I come from a upper middle class background, so my parents helped a lot. At the bare minimum he should get a therapist and work full time.

Don't sweat it. Most of the guys in my generation are forty-something going on twenty-something, and I range from eight to eighty.

There are some girls at work but they are a little young for me (16/17 year olds). I need a female at least 20. Why can't some female on here just go out with me for coffee? I don't have to marry them. I wish I could just sit and talk to a female.

I have had a couple of friends who have gone through what you are going through. Their first Holiday Seasons were difficult but they were able to succeed. Traditions and habits can bring up unpleasant memories. Don't beat yourself up if this does happen and stay close to the people who support you.

Reality doesn't change if a person chooses to accept it or not. Of course, no one can work on overcoming their "flaws" until they accept that they are "flaws" in the first place.

Patting someone on the head and telling them they are doing fine when they obviously are not is just cosigning their BS.

This includes doing good things and getting good results as well.
