Paganism is gay and cringe and so is witchcraft/shamanism, also they damn you to hell. I'll stick to Christ, thanks.

Why do you equate Shamanism with witchcraft?

I come from a Shamanic background which in practice is applied animism i.e. seeing that everything that exists has Spirit.
How does that translate to the conceptually manufactured idea of witchcraft?
    Please explain yourself.
Where on Earth did you get this belief from?

Have you ever taken a serious stock of your beliefs in the “Eyes of God”?

Because there's a very strong overlap.

Witchcraft, as most commonly understood in both historical and present-day communities, is the use of alleged supernatural powers of magic. A witch is a practitioner of witchcraft. Traditionally, "witchcraft" means the use of magic or supernatural powers to inflict harm or misfortune on others, and this remains the most common and widespread meaning.
Shamans do this all the time all over the world, from Ayahuasceros in South America to Siberian Shamans.

God strongly condemns divination and sorcery, there's no debating this.

Witchcraft is a belief in duality.

The core of Shamanism is nonduality.

Do you understand the difference ... why witchcraft would backfire?

God will not care much about that philosophical minutia of your sorcery practice when the judgment comes, I don't say that lightly as a "haha you're going to hell" because I have family who've practiced sorcery that I don't want to be cast into the Lake of Fire and I don't want you too either.
Anyway, I realize you really care about these details just as I care about theological differences between Christian denominations, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter if shamanism and witchcraft are the same, has some overlap or is totally different to eachother because it is still sorcery condemned by God very strongly.

Coming from a Shamanic background – I only know “Oneness in Spirit” and that is no “sorcery”.

I understand, our perspectives are just very different and we should probably just leave it at that because I am extremely dogmatic about this.

Shamanism is a form of Witchcraft, for sure. It's occultic and not for civilized human beings, especially not Christians . Shamanism involves demons. Shamanism is, in Satan's kingdom, spiritually ranked lower than Western Wicca, though.

Anyway this is a stupid thread.
